Gov Challenge: AI Connect — 27 startups presented their solutions to the banking sector of Uzbekistan
On December 12, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, and IT Park Ventures, in partnership with the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and Aloqabank, held Gov Challenge: AI Connect, an initiative aimed at finding and implementing AI solutions for the digitalization of banking processes. The event was attended by 27 startups, which presented their developments to the regulator and the industry.
Gov Challenge is a specialized section on the Startupbase.uz platform, created to strengthen interaction between startups and government organizations. The platform allows agencies to post requests for digitalization and describe tasks that require technological solutions. Startups, in turn, can offer their developments, adapting products to the real needs of the market. This format promotes the introduction of local innovations into government agencies and helps teams create in-demand technological solutions with high practical value.
The Central Bank has posted more than 12 tasks on the Startupbase platform related to data analysis, operational process optimization, and the use of artificial intelligence. The call received 90 applications from 52 startups. After technical evaluation, 27 teams were selected and given the opportunity to present their solutions to industry experts.
The presentations took place at the Aloqabank building and brought together representatives from the Central Bank, commercial banks, venture capital funds, and technology companies. Participants demonstrated prototypes and working products, showing how their technologies can improve the efficiency of banking processes and solve specific regulatory challenges.
Following the event, a number of venture funds announced preliminary agreements with the teams.
IT Park Ventures expressed interest in the projects of MoliyAI, Osnova, and Databazaar AI, while Aloqa Ventures showed interest in Onvision, AKS Labs AI, and Databazaar AI. United Ventures is ready to continue negotiations with Aisha AI, Business Robots AI, and Flott, while KDB Bank has offered cooperation to the startup Aisha AI.

The Central Bank also noted projects that will be considered for further testing and possible integration: Jett.uz, Jobster.hr, Karmon AI, TUZUK, Onvision, GlobalMove, and UnitLab AI.
Gov Challenge: AI Connect has demonstrated the effectiveness of open interaction between the state, the innovation ecosystem, and investment structures. The initiative remains an important tool for digital transformation, providing startups with access to real-world challenges and accelerating the introduction of modern technologies into the public sector.
