Regional Startup Managers Upskilling Week: Summary of the Program
An intensive professional development program for startup managers representing IT Park Uzbekistan’s regional branches was held in Tashkent, bringing together 14 representatives from across the country for a workshop.
Throughout the program, participants:
- Explored the fundamentals of building an effective startup ecosystem;
- Studied mechanisms of startup incubation, acceleration, and tracking;
- Mastered key methodologies such as Lean Startup, Customer Development, and MVP development;
- Gained insight into global practices in startup growth and venture capital investment;
- Engaged in hands-on sessions focused on identifying customer needs and hypothesis testing;
- Visited leading startup platforms, including Aloqa Ventures, Startup Garage, and C Space;
- Received mentorship from seasoned experts including Usman Rakhimzhanov, Anastasia Filippova, Mirolim Abdullaev, and Muhammad Khalil.
The program also featured intensive networking activities, experience sharing, and collaborative work on real-world cases, enabling participants to forge durable professional connections and generate ideas for future joint initiatives.
Particular attention was given to fostering regional startup development — with sessions on analyzing local economic dynamics, identifying private sector needs, and mapping regional startup ecosystems.
All participants successfully completed the program and were awarded certificates of professional development.
This week-long initiative served not only as an educational platform, but also as a significant step toward the establishment of a resilient and robust national startup infrastructure. The next phase includes the rollout of new regional initiatives and continued efforts to strengthen the country’s position on the global startup landscape.
