Startup Day – Fergana: Empowering Young Innovators
On November 11, Fergana State University hosted the Startup Day – Fergana event, organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park, IT Park Ventures, SQB Ventures, and the Fergana Regional Government. The initiative aimed to support young startups in the region, foster the development of the innovation ecosystem, and connect founders with potential investors.
The event gathered more than 300 participants, including 30 startup teams and 8 investors. Major venture funds such as SQB Ventures, AloqaVentures, UzVC, IT Park Ventures, and United Ventures supported the event.
The highlight of the day was the “Startup Battle”, where 30 startup projects competed, and 15 advanced to the final stage. During the finals, teams presented their ideas to investors and venture capital representatives.
As a result, “Enola” and “DentalSoft” startups successfully received soft commitments from IT Park Ventures, demonstrating the growing potential of Fergana’s startup ecosystem and the increasing interest of young people in technology and innovation.
The opening ceremony featured welcoming speeches from Sherzod Polvonov, Deputy Governor of Fergana Region; Elyor Maksudov, Startups and investments development director at IT Park Uzbekistan; and Muzaffar Karabayev, Founder and CEO of KPI.COM. They inspired the youth to pursue success in the startup world, emphasizing the importance of innovation, technological development, and taking local initiatives to the global stage.
In addition to startup presentations, the event included mentorship sessions, networking opportunities, and experience-sharing meetings with investors. The overall goal of the event was to provide young entrepreneurs with practical knowledge, business skills, and valuable connections.
