“Turin x IT Park: AI Hackathon 2025” – AI and Cybersecurity Hackathon Concluded in Tashkent
The international hackathon “Turin x IT Park: AI Hackathon 2025”, dedicated to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, successfully concluded in Tashkent, hosted at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent with the support of IT Park Uzbekistan and UzAuto, the event’s general sponsor. The hackathon brought together young professionals, students, and startup founders eager to apply their skills to real-world challenges proposed by a leading industrial partner.
Over the course of three days, participants engaged in solving four technical challenges developed by UzAuto — two in the domain of artificial intelligence and two in cybersecurity. The hackathon began with 45 teams (120 participants) on the first day, with 34 teams (91 participants) advancing to the second day, and 29 teams (82 participants) reaching the final round.
In collaboration with Angel Connect, participants received valuable mentorship by recognized industry experts. Among the mentors were Sergey Shima, Strategic Director of TDI AI Creative Agency; Ilya Aleksashin, a seasoned marketing specialist, brand strategist, and BI analyst with over a decade of experience; and Yusufbay Kadyrov, founder of the first AI Academy and a digital entrepreneur with a turnover exceeding $1 million. The total prize pool for the hackathon amounted to 100 million UZS.
Following the competition, the jury announced the winning teams. The first place was awarded to the Nova team which developed an AI-based digital twin management system for warehouse and asset operations. The team was awarded a prize of 50 million UZS.
Second place was granted to Team Doppi Dev, which presented a document forgery prevention solution and received 30 million UZS.
Third place went to Team Smart Steps, which presented a sales optimization process for UzAuto and received 20 million UZS.
The “Turin x IT Park: AI Hackathon 2025” served as a significant platform for nurturing Uzbekistan’s IT talent pool, fostering knowledge exchange, and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions within the real economy. The event highlighted the strong capabilities of the country’s emerging tech specialists and their ability to address complex technological challenges in AI and cybersecurity.
