Uzbek Startups Achieve Their First Milestones in Kazakhstan
As part of the Market Entry program, Uzbek startups have successfully begun operating in the Kazakhstani market, securing their first customers and launching initial collaborations. The initiative, organized by IT Park Uzbekistan in partnership with Astana Hub, strengthened cross-border cooperation and created new opportunities for startups from both ecosystems.
"Our partnership with Astana Hub is particularly important to us — joint initiatives strengthen the technological environment of the entire Central Asian region. The Market Entry program is an example of such cooperation: Uzbek startups have begun operating in the Kazakh market, and 10 Kazakh teams have entered the Digital Startup Awards acceleration track. This exchange creates real value for entrepreneurs in the region. We intend to continue expanding joint projects, forming a unified and competitive innovation environment in Central Asia." — Elyor Maksudov, Startups and investments development director.
Uzbek teams held meetings with local companies, initiated pilot projects, and started deploying their technologies across several business processes. The strong interest from Kazakhstani partners provided startups with clear guidance on market needs, product adaptation requirements, and go-to-market strategies.
The program followed a two-way approach: 10 Kazakh startups were accepted into the Digital Startup Awards acceleration track, marking another step toward deeper regional innovation exchange.
The growing presence of startups across Central Asia demonstrates the rapid strengthening of the region’s tech ecosystem. IT Park Uzbekistan will continue expanding regional cooperation and creating new avenues for startups to scale across borders.
